When an application has as many capabilities as Tecplot does, it’s not always easy to locate the functionality you want – which is why Tecplot redoes its UI every now-and-then.

As discussed in some detail here, Pointwise’s V18.5’s standout feature is Automatic Volume Meshing. The videos linked to that blogpost illustrate how the various parts work together to “generate a suitable volume mesh given a minimum of goal-oriented parameters”.

TransMagic’s R12 has been beefed up with both new and updated formats. SolidWorks 2022 is now supported, while SolidEdge, Creo, NX and ParaSolid have been updated.
