Many supply-chains require CAD model-authentication, comparing an original model and the derived model. This can be useful for internal use too: for example, if you’ve spent significant estimation-time on a part only to have the author make a change.
But what determines the significance of changes? This is where dual profiles come into their own: specify different “inside” and “outside” tolerances to zero in on changes that you deem significant. View this short video for an overview.
